About Us
Crann Beatha (pronounced vah-ha), meaning tree of life, has opened its doors in Cultúrlann Uí Chanáin, the Irish language and cultural centre on Great James’ Street in Derry.
After running the much-loved Eskimo Café just up the street from the Cultúrlann, owner Una McCole made the decision to move the café space a couple of blocks down.
Una said: "It’s a real privilege to be based in such a unique and exciting space as the Cultúrlann! As someone born and raised in Donegal, it’s wonderful to be able to combine our café offering to this hub of activity that celebrates the rich cultural heritage which I grew up loving.
